瑪麗亞每天五點鐘起床，撕掉一頁月曆後便開始在廚房裡做著例行工作：洗碗、洗
菜、煮飯、掃地。然而她有個特別的興趣，那就是回應從某處傳來的早安問候，不
厭其煩地回答每日的午餐菜色──炊雞飯、印度香飯或番茄炒蛋。這部極富巧思的
短片利用遠方家人的聲音，將異國勞動場所轉化為移工的私密空間，並展現其以另
類手法排遣思鄉之苦的獨特趣味。
Maria gets up at five o’clock every day. After tearing a leaf off the wall calendar, she
beings doing routine chores in the kitchen. However, she’s got a special interest in
responding to a voice from somewhere saying morning greetings and asking about her
lunch meals. This highly original short film uses sound clips of Maria’s daughter to create
a private space for the immigrant worker herself, demonstrating an interesting alternative
approach of killing her yearning for the faraway family.

Three teenagers set a beauty trap for a man but failed. They thought they accidentally
killed the man! Therefore they decided to abscond to Thailand. Youth is just like a
drizzle. When you look back on those days, there was nothing but some ambiguous
puzzles…

There are over 20 million people of Polish descent in the world today. This
community was built by several hundred years of Polish emigration. Jerzy
TOMASZEK and Agnieszka IMBIEROWICZ represent completely different reasons
for emigration, but they are just two of many stories that could be told.

Three immigrants talk about their distinctive life experiences of leaving their home
countries and moving into foreign lands. Though they are attracted by the beauty of
new places, the food and the loved ones from hometown remain imprinted on their
memory. It is a documentary that tells of personal diasporic stories as men and birds
are fused together in animation to create a cinematic commentary on immigration.
